PROBLEM ON UPDATING BRASSTAX VERSION

SCENARIO 1 :
Error Message :"A backup already exists for the current version..."
Cause           : The Update Version Setup file has been ran before, and the system created a backup folder for the current version, when user run again the Update Version Setup, it will       prompt the above error message because it is trying to create a folder with the same name and would not replace the existing folder that is already there.
Solution        : Browse into where you installed BRASSTAX Data Server to (eg. C:\ProgramFiles\EALink\BRASSTAX\Corporate) to look for a folder named Backup*current version number* (eg. Backup171000), rename the folder to other names (eg. Backup171000old). Then user should be able to run the Update Version Setup
now.

SCENARIO 2 :
Error Message : "Please shutdown License Server" (even though user has shut it down)
Cause           : License Server is not shut down properly.
Solution        : Press Alt + Ctrl + Delete, then check in Task Manager (in Processes Tab) there's no License.exe running. If has, end the process, and then run the update again.

SCENARIO 3 :
Error Message : "....Access is Denied...."
Cause           : User Login to Windows using normal or limited User Account which doesn't have administrator rights to access and update files in the server.
Solution        : Press Alt + Ctrl + Delete, then check in Task Manager (in Processes Tab) there's no License.exe running. If has, end the process, and then run the update again.

Cause           : Someone is still using BRASSTAX or BRASSTAX is still running on one of the workstation
Solution        : Ensure that no one is using BRASSTAX by make sure the Copies runing/allowed in License Server Panel shows 0/99

Cause           : Although no one is using BRASSTAX but somehow system is still holding some files of BRASSTAX
Solution        : a) Restart the server computer and try to run the update again.
                    b) If it fails, copy the Data folder which is in C:\Program Files\EALink\Brasstax\Corporate out to Desktop.
                    c) Then rename the original Data folder which in \Corporate folder to other name (eg. Data1)
                    d) Then copy the Data folder that is on the Desktop back to the original location which in \Corporate folder and run the update again.
               

Cause           : The access rights has been changed to not allow users to access or update files on the Data folder
Solution        : a) Check the attributes of the Data folder whether it is set to Read Only.
                    b) Check the access rights of Sharing and Security for the shared EALink folder whether it is set to allow users to have full access on i
